Sacraments
Anointing of the Sick
A channel for special graces from God that comfort and heal, physically and/or spiritually, the seriously ill.
Confirmation
A deepening and strengthening of the grace received at Baptism, which is considered the presence of God.
Eucharist
The recieving of Christ’s Body and Blood. Volunteers needed to bring communion to the nursing home. Sign up below.
Reconciliation
The peace between humanity and God that results from the expiation of religious sin and the propitiation of God’s wrath.
About St. Joseph
In 1879 the Parish of St. Joseph was founded as a mission project of the parish of St. Mary’s in West Point and from then until 1893 the parish was served by the priests from St. Mary. In 1893 St. Joseph became an independent parish. That same year, a new frame church was built at a cost of $1,200.00 and was heated by two coal heating stoves.
Faith Formation
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)–The program prepares those adults who want to receive the following sacraments: Baptism, Holy Communion or Eucharist, Confirmation as well as those who would like to be received into Catholic faith from other religious denominations. Our sessions usually commences on September and ends on Easter of every year. If you are interested in joining this RCIA program, contact Fr.
